ÖLÜM OLGUSU VE HASTA YAKINLARINDA ÖLÜME İLİŞKİN TUTUMLAR

Abstract

Biyolojik olarak insan hayatının sıradan bir olgusu ölüm, varoluşsal olarak önemli bir olaydır. Tecrübe edenlerin geri bildirimde bulunmaması nedeniyle bilinmezliği ve her şeyin sonu olarak algılanması itibarıyla da kaygı ve korkuların kaynağıdır. Bu özelliği nedeniyle de insanın en eski ilgi alanlarından ve felsefe ile dinin en fazla ayrıntı tartıştığı bir konu niteliği kazanır. Makalenin giriş bölümünde bu görüşler kısaca temellendirilmiştir. Kaygı ve korkuların kaynağı olarak ölümle ilgili tutumlar önemli bir etken olarak karşımıza çıkar. Makalede bu tutumların başlıcaları olan ölümsüzlük arzusu, ölümü inkâr etme, ölüme meydan okuma, ölümü isteme, ölümü kabullenme ve yas gibi tutumlar ölüm korkusu ile ilişkileri açısından incelenmektedir. Makalede daha sonra çeşitli gelişim dönemlerinde insanların ölümle ilgili olarak hangi karakteristik özelliklere sahip olduğu yapılan araştırmalara dayalı olarak ortaya konmuştur. Son olarak da hasta yakınlarının içinde bulundukları süreçlerin ölüme ilişkin hangi tepkileri ortaya çıkardığı literatüre dayalı olarak belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.

As a biologically ordinary phenomenon of human life, death is an existentially important fact. It is also the source of anxiety and fears because the lack of the feedback from those who experience it cause an obscrutiy and it is perceived as the end of everyting. Because of this feature, it is one of the oldest interests of man and a subject where philosophy andreligion discuss the most details. These opinions are briefly based in the introduction_x000D_ part of the article. As a source of anxiety and fears, the attitudes towards death appear as an important factor. In the article, the main ones of these attitudes such as the desire for immortality, the denial of death, the challenge of death, the desire for death, the acceptance of death and the mourning are examined in terms of their relationship with the fear of death. Afterwards, the characteristics of people related to death at various_x000D_ developmental stages are revealed based on the researches. Finally, it was tried to determine that the process of patient relatives were in related to death bring out which reactions based on the literature.
