Abstract:
In this study, Borophene and PANI:Borophene nanocomposite were prepared using a low cost and simple sonication method. The prepared PANI:beta Borophene nanocomposite-based sensor has a higher response than the Borophene-based sensor against volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Both the beta Borophene-based sensor and PANI:beta Borophene nanocomposite sensor were selectively detected ethanol. The results reveal that limit of detection of the prepared beta Borophene-based sensor and PANI:beta Borophene nanocomposite sensor was 1000 and 60 ppm, respectively. The response time of the PANI:Borophene nanocomposite-based sensor was 40 s and the recovery time of the sensor was 12 s at 1200 ppm ethanol. The selective and rapid detection of the prepared PANI:Borophene nanocomposite-based sensor is impressive. PANI:beta Borophene nanocomposite-based sensor has a great potential for future applications in high-performance VOC detectors.
