<summary type="text">The Relation General Anxiety Levels, Anxiety of Writing, and Attitude for Turkish Course of Secondary School Students
Yaman, Havva
This study analyzed whether secondary-school students' continuous and stationary anxieties predict their anxiety about writing and their attitudes about courses in Turkish. The research participants consisted of 281 students in Sakarya Province, 58% male and 42% female. The personal descriptive survey model was used for the research. As data collection tools, the Scale of Writing Anxiety, the Continuous-Stationary Anxiety Inventory, and the Attitude Scale for Turkish Courses were used. The multiple regression method determined positive correlation between writing anxiety, and stationary and continuous anxieties. When students' writing anxiety increased, their stationary and continuous anxieties also increased. In contrast, a negative correlation was determined between writing anxiety and attitudes about Turkish courses. Furthermore, as students' writing anxiety increased, their attitudes about Turkish courses changed negatively. The research findings were discussed within the scope of writing in related fields, and suggestions to decrease students' writing anxiety were made. Finally, suggestions to prevent students' writing anxiety from negatively affecting their attitudes about Turkish courses were also included.

<summary type="text">Teachers' Views on the Applicability of the Turkish Course Curriculum in Crowded Primary Classrooms
Yaman, Havva
Present study investigated relationships between classroom overcrowding and the Turkish education curriculum (2006) in terms of the applicability of activity-based lower secondary Turkish education curriculum in overcrowded classes. In addition, the problems that occur in the teaching process and the sufficiency of time for the program were investigated. Qualitative research methods were used in the study. By conducting semi-structured interviews with 11 Turkish teachers of overcrowded classes, the effects of overcrowded classes on the applicability of the Turkish course curriculum was examined. To analyze the data gathered from teachers, categorical content analysis and QSR Nvivo were used. At the end of the research, it is observed that in accordance with the program, Turkish teachers have to work one to one with each student; that teachers find that the activities do not meet the objectives due to pressure of time resulting from overcrowding. Suggestions are construed such as doing group work to lower the effects of overcrowding.

Güleç, İsmail
All has received a special attention among Turks since he became a Muslim. Not only among the Alevi Turks, but also among the Sunni Turks, his tales of heroism are read, young people emulated and imitated him. The Cenkname tales which tell about All's heroism have played an important role in the settlement and internalization of the love and admiration to All among Turks. The Castle of Blood is also among the dozens of tales that tell about All's heroism. The author of this tale is not certain and it is told from generation to generation. The Castle of Blood narrates about the events that Ali experiences during his journey where he went for finding a present for a kid who will be circumcised. Cevahirzade Mustafa Hilmi Efendi is one of those who has versificated this tale. In this article, Turkish society's perception of All based on Cevahirzade's text is emphasized and the text is tried to be analyzed. When we review the Castle of Blood tale, we see Turkish society's perception of Ali. All has been an ideal character with his bravery, generosity, protection of the weak, overmastering the cruel and his loyalty to his wife. He has acted as a morale figure and directed listeners to be better with these features. The Castle of Blood tale is also a good example of traditional Turkish storytelling. It has several typical characteristics of tales like the war between good and bad, addressing to the listeners, telling stories in the tale and existence of spiritual beings. In this study, these characteristics will be tried to be presented with relevant examples.
